Here is the sofa I have bought the room floor plan (the snug area is the bottom left area) the corner sofa will go in the bottom left corner with the long but along the left wall -facing the fire and the short bit against the bottom wall (as in the picture) I have also attached a photo of the wall paper against the sofa - but obviously it is no where near to scale!!! Oh also flooring will be oak herringbone parquet and a slate hearth for the stove ... Any Help and advice would be much appreciated - Thankyou!!

I would suggest going with either of the two main colours in the wallpaper - a third toning or contrasting colour would detract from the paper. Which one is best depends on what's happening in the rest of the room, but either will work. It's not wise to try and match colours from a computer screen, as they are not true, so the best bet is to take a sample to one of the DIY stores that have paint mixing services. Don't ask them to match the colour - in my experience this rarely works - but use the paint swatches against your sample to find a match. Take your time, and if you're unsure, go for the slightly lighter colour. I'd also take the nearest swatches outside and check them in daylight. Do get sample pots of paint when you've pinned one or two options down, as the swatches are printed not painted. Paint an A4 [or larger] piece of paper and stick both paper and paint next to each other on your walls. A faff I know, but the best way to ensure you don't make expensive mistakes. Otherwise find a local designer who will come and do a paint match for you - they would charge for the service but you know you'll be getting the right one!

My kitchen so far just has one coat of paint and a professional decorator thought it had 2. Therefore it may not end up costing more in the end I read a while ago that Little Greene can colour match F&B exactly (it was on a professional decorators site so assume it's true but will see if I can find it again) however people clearly don't do this as the paint price is the same however I don't find F&B coverage to be anywhere close it's also worth checking for an RAL colour match for any of F&B paints as you could get lucky. Also heard good reviews of Valspar colour matching

Could you share photos of the room ( you can add photos in comments under here.) might help for people to visualise where colours are going. Are you looking for a colour for walls? I think a pale-mid grey would suit those colours nicely. But I can see your thinking with a dusky pink. Maybe you could sneak in some small accessories in that colour...cushion, flowers, etc. (something that could be easily changed). Or maybe a rich teal or green or an ochre yellow for accents if she definitely doesn’t want pink. Some brass would also look fab....drawer handles, lamps and so on. Some inspiration pics below.
