Agreed about the floors, they look lovely. In that case I would definately go for a pale grey curtain, or the room will look very white and the grey couches will stand out in a bad way I think. Or if you want to add a colour to the room, say blue for example, a pale blue curtain and then a rug with bits of darker or lighter blue on it would tie in a colour subtly. If you want to stick with the grey and white colours, I would go for a greyish or cream (darker than floor) rug with a pattern on it to make a focal point in the room. That info is all about the lounge. If you let me know the colour scheme and feel you want for the bedroom I can try and give some advice on that :)

Hi. Yes, to maximise the height of a room you would take the curtain pole close to the ceiling however I am struggling to visualise this with this pelmet as I'm not convinced it would give the same effect but it's too late to sketch it out! I think I would take the curtains (same colour as couch and maybe with a grey pattern or trim) to the ceiling and have a pelmet made that also covers the wood. .What is on the lounge floor at present? It look like marble in the pic. I don't think I would carpet it. I'd have a big glass coffee table with a silver rim sat on a light grey patterned rug. I'd add grey cushions to the sofa and add a silver/chrome floor lamp and large mirror over the sofa. The colours are neutral so add cushions maybe in a duck egg or colour of your choice. Finally a statement ceiling light and some art on the wall. Bedroom: I'd add silvery grey curtains to match your feature wall, again with a fabric pelmet. Add a large pale silver rug that sits under the bed and covers some of the floor to lighten the room. Dress the bed in the same 3 colours or introduce a shade of purple for cushions, throw etc. it looks a great house!

Hi Beanie, Did you attach a photo of your dining table? Perhaps it's not uploaded, or I can't see it? You've got a lovely space, with gorgeous high ceilings, so lots of options for ways to fill it. I think the living room needs some more lighting, perhaps floor lighting, as your wall colour is a darker tone. Here's a couple of ideas: This is a matt grey floor lamp that would blend nicely with your existing colour scheme, while offering a lot of extra light. This is a matt black lamp that is black but still seems quite unobtrusive, because its legs and silhouette is very minimalistic. It barely has a footprint! Here's a mirror effect pendant lamp that turns opaque when the bulb is off. It uses these beautiful Plumen 001 lightbulbs, which are really eye-catching. These Saarinen tulip side tables are wonderful for brightening up a space. The marble options include varying shades of whites, greys and dramatic greens and blacks. The Kasthall Goose Eye Icons rug is a classic, and the pattern would tie the room together really well. It's hard to say without seeing it, but all neutral colours including greys belong to a 'hue'. For example, wood is generally yellow/orange, orange, or red/orange. Your tiles look to be a bit violet (some slate is blue/green). If they have a violet tinge and you have wood then that makes up two of three colours from a secondary triad - orange, violet and the third is green. It may be worth looking at green as an option as it tends to look good with wood and grey/violets. Almost everything in my house is based on this triad like this:
