In a few words, could you tell us what would you like to achieve with the room/what your needs are?!

We would like to use it as a dining room, currently it has a rectangle table in, which tends to end up being pushed to the side and the larger part of the room ends up being used as a walkway through from the kitchen to the garden. We have struggled with different dining tables, and locations. It was a rom that was added on prior to us buying the house and it just never seems to sit right.

Ok, there's a couple of tricks you can do.

I would personally start getting the right furniture. An oval table, ideally extendable would be a good start. Check out the link below. This one is a bit expensive but it's great for inspiration for both the table and the chairs.

Also consider getting a nice rug to 'mark up' the permanent location for the table, and maybe suspended lighting.

You'd have all these in the left hand side (from the plan), it's a shame the bifolds open from left though. Could be worth investing in new bifolds to open from the right side.

Hi thanks for getting back to me. The dimensions are approx 5.5m by 3.8m. The bi-folds do actually open from the right (the plan is wrong). I’ve attached a photo, sorry for the mess - home schooling! The built in storage was added by us but has probably had its day so happy for any and all suggestions, thanks

Have you thought about getting rid of the storage and having built in seating in that area? That would work with an oval or round table.
