I would actually move the sink and toilet to the long wall opposite the door, and stack up the washing machine and dryer (if you have one) in that corner between the toilet and basin. There will then be loads of storage space on top of the up to 2m long worktop you can have in whichever combination you want. The smallest space for a toilet and basin in my opinion is only 1.2m, so you can have 0.8 to plan for other sort of floor length storage should you wish or a long worktop which is my preference. In the past I have used the MyPlan series from the Bathstore and I find them really reliable and flexible and suits almost any dimension - they do 30, 40, or 60 floor and wall units with or without mirrors, and 1.2, 1.5 or 1.8 polymarble worktop. Just my opinion but hope it helps.

An electric towel radiator would be a great option for drying clothes. I would recommend going with something with plenty of surface area to increase drying space and heat output. It might be easier to dry clothes on a wide and lower design model like our Shorty model (as pictured), rather than a tall thin one (especially if you are trying to get the kids to help!). All of our ladder-style towel radiators are available in electric versions. I would also recommend a ceiling suspended clothes airer or "creel" as we call them in Yorkshire. We have one at home and it is invaluable in the winter.

Update:- I'm looking at whether we can move the wood burner so we could put the dining area where the lounge is, which would increase the bathroom/utility room inside the house by another 4'4 wide x 7'1 . Also means we don't have to build a side extension just for the extra porch etc thus saving us money! Fingers crossed it can work, but this is the space that we would have to play with to split the bathroom and utility now. I've allowed for more hallway space where it recesses to the right to accommodate coat/shoe storage How would you split this down now? The bathroom would have a nice outside window now so not as dark.

I am at work so no photos at the moment [will take some later] but we had it boxed in by builder next to the bathtub [we have a shower over bathtub]. It is 90cm x 85cm. We have a washer dryer and then 3 shelves from ikea algot range for stacking laundry baskets, loo roll and the like - our ceilings are high - 2.6m. We also keep ironing board and iron in there. Our electrician signed off everything and I think our bathroom is a bit bigger than yours - 2.2m x 2.6m. The utility cupboard is on the long wall see attached plan. It looks a bit like the photo below but instead of hanging space we have shelves We painted the doors same colour as walls and we have a roof light plus higher ceilings so it doesn't feel small at all. All our tatt is in the cupboard or sink vanity unit so the bathroom is much tidier than an average bathroom. We also have a glass shower screen so everything feels light and bright.
