Finding a circular japanese soaking tub
Comments (64)OK, I have decided that I want one of these, but outside the house, for an outdor spa experience (we have a totally secluded and leafy garden, so I'm not worried about the neighbours. I already have hot and cold feeds outside, and drainage should be pretty easy. But I think concrete has to be the material for the tub, for durability, and it will need a cover. Anyone have any links?...See Morecurved basin and square toilet clash?
Comments (9)Square toilets are perfect for a modern bathroom. If that is the look you’re going for then it doesn’t matter that much if the basin and toilet are not in the same shape. They almost never are anyways. Just make sure they both have the same sort of style and create the same “mood”. Comments (16)We had this in our last house. The post was extraordinarily useful as it housed plug and ethernet sockets for running stuff on the island, as well as the master heating controller for the house, and extra switch for the island pendant lights (H section steel beam, so lots of room for running cables along two sides of the post). Really did not detract from the kitchen very much at all, and was a lot cheaper than the goal-post steel that would have been required otherwise. I'll try to find a pic. You can also, as others have said, make a feature of it with a round post, or even just the painted steel beam itself for an industrial look....See More(another) HALLWAY painting post

Ha ha) @Beano - the lights as they are in the main hall are very low level but once I have the shades on and swap the bright bulbs out, it won’t be as blinding. The entrance hall one is bright and a sensor one and I think that helps push light over to the darker side. It can be turned off though. Not decided yet on artwork ie if I should go eclectic frames or clean modern... I’m a fan of both so 🤷♀️...See More- 6 years ago
