Colour for tiny but bright bathroom?
Comments (43)I would definitely go for a bold warm colour like a dark grey either a paint or a textured wallpaper. Both work really well in small cloakrooms with white fixtures. Put a big glam mirror above the sink and a pendant light too. I tested a new Valspar colour today called Sooty Lashes which I'm about to use in a bathroom project. Comments (53)I can't believe people would want their houses to have a hotel feel. I always thought my mother was complaining when she said that we treated her house like a hotel! My parents never used their Ensuite as the family bathroom was much bigger. I'm not a fan of ensuites and didn't miss loosing one when I moved house. However if I lived in a house as big as Downton Abbey I'd want one lest I met a ghost on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night!...See MorePenny floor for the understairs bathroom
Comments (9)I have never seen one of these before, but I think it would look great in a downstairs WC. I always think the downstairs loo is somewhere that you can afford to do something a little different and quirky. Having watched the full video, I do not think cleaning or maintenance would be an issue (and I am a total clean freak), the floor has a fairly substantial coat of resin over it, so there are no gaps or nooks and crannies for dirt to build up. I would imagine you would just mop it as with any hard floor?....maybe followed by a buff up to get rid of any smears, but in a small room that should not be too laborious. Please do post photos if you decide to go with it. Good luck :-)...See MoreWould you put in a cloakroom or bathroom
Comments (25)Yes i think the back door would be a good idea. We thought about making the current window into a door as you’ve suggested, it’s a low ceiling but could just about get away with it as it’s a cottage. I think that’s our other option that you’ve suggested but was going to separate the utility room in two so that we’d could get a toilet in and a small part of the utility. However that means changing the window Into 2 smaller ones and a lot more work (we’re trying to keep the cost down as much as possible!)...See Morepeggysue67
