Ah, the larger rug is much better. I'd pull it towards the TV wall a little more. I actually preferred the white box as a coffee table, because you need somewhere to put your drinks and if you put a coffee table in, there's probably too much furniture there. Although I'd prefer a less boxy shaped coffee table, but there we are :-) I'd add some warmer colours and some natural materials to create a warmer look. And lighting, but you're probably getting a wall light? I'd add a light to the sideboard in front of the window, to bring a bit of light into that corner. Look for art instead of a mirror. Seriously, it'll add more personality to your room than a mirror does. Or art and a mirror.

So i made the desk, it's ok, if i was to do again i'd spend more time clamping it and getting it level ;) but not bad for £50 in total. I've ordered the Edwin sofa from made.com, it's going to take a while but i like the shape/colour and it won't take up the whole room. I know about the lack of arms but it is only an occasional seat/bed :). I loved the sea foam but i think too dark for my wee room, maybe when I replace my lounge sofa i'd go for that. I'm quite happy overall, I need to dress the window and get some art on the walls.

It’s easy to do it yourself. Measure up the size (length, width and depth). If you look online there are companies that will cut to size. Just decide on the density eg soft, firm, very firm. Order it and place it inside your cover. If you don’t want to do it look online for a local upholsterer. This is something they do.
