Paint colour for open plan

Hi

hoping anyone can help

decorating my open plan space.

kitchen cupboards are dove grey and island navy quite dark.

ive painted wall above the sink in f&b calamine which I love. Started painted rest of wall in wimbourne white but looked really yellow not the white I had hoped for. After looking at various paint colours on the wall chose Wevet. It looks really nice in the day but on a night it turns pink. i like pink but not on all my walls! Dont really want to paint the whole lot again, wondering what ammonite would look like on the long wall, there is a navy drinks cabinet going to the left wall on the first photo.

Help needed.

Yay -exciting to see it coming together ... this is one I did isn’t it ?! If it is - it looks familiar - but I don’t keep a note of clients Houzz names - let me know and we can try the colours on the cad for you !

Hello, such a gorgeous space. This kitchen has darker units than yours but has calamine on the left and dulux brilliant white everywhere else. The spot lights are a warm tone but even so at night time you can see it doesn't look yellow or pinkish.

Wow yes lots to waken up to and I'm so grateful for the help! Thanks so much! I tried mforr to find one o those room colouring things for a shop here in the uk and whilt you can do it with dulux paint brand, it didnt seem to like my iPad so need to get onto it on my laptop! Having slept on it I'm thinking I like the idea of doing the kitchen only in colour, and then having highlights of the colour in the LR with cushions perhaps. We considered curtains too but I'm not sure if it would crowd the LR. We are sure that the coffee table is too big also, but I love it (it has a glass top and we can present things in the drawer below). We also have no dining table so this is our only space for setting out food! I'm still liking the green, but the yellow goes well too. We have a tea/coffee jars on our kitchen work top (might be just visible in the pictures) which are green yellow and grey, so if I bring these along to the DIY shop they could colour match those for me. (Along with the list you sent me too mforr!) I will def be back on to show you all the results!! :)

I have Timeless (Dulux I believe) in a lot of my rooms. I am no expert but colour seems to look the same in the room that faces North as it does in the rooms that face West and South. I think it looks very similar to your photo and I have been very pleased with it. Some of my rooms also have the ceilings painted in it if there is no coving. If you are getting samples of the others suggested you may want to get a sample of this too.

It depends on what sort of 'feel' you like. I like quite neutral spaces with lots of texture so stoney colours, natural leather feels very relaxed to me. Little Greene have some new colour cards out with 'Stone' colours on, all sorted in warms to cools, it may be worth ordering one. They do light and dark versions of each colour so you could select specific ones for each room. They also specify 'accent' colours for the odd wall so all round a good choice.

This is a great family space. I wouldn’t use paint to zone the room but, like in you have in the 3D image, zone with the furniture arrangements and rugs. I would merge the seating and piano into 1, with a large rug to define, centralise the seating area and widen as the chairs are currently interrupting the Flow. Put the piano on the wall beside the smaller door with enough room for a stool and circulation. For colour, introduce lots of low maintenance plants, cushions, paintings.

I did a large sample piece on my walls with Wevet before buying a 5L tin. Mine doesn’t look any different at any time of the day and I sincerely hope when I do the rest of my kitchen it doesn’t show out as pink.

It must be the lighting making it show the pink.

Edit: I’ve just enlarged the images and mine is nothing like yours. Very strange.
