Comments (2)Hi Daisyone. It looks like there's some colour in those floor tiles (I see a lovely russetty orange but photos are not colour-accurate so I won't make any recommendations)...you could pick up on that...why not take one of the tiles to a specialist paint showroom and get some expert help / play around with colours? Make sure you look at the colour (most showrooms will have a large paint sample of each colour) against the tile and something white as well. Then you can have fun choosing toning towels and accessories!...See MoreBathroom Paint Colour help!
Comments (1)Hello Ffion, : )) How are you? We met at one of the events! I agree in your thinking about the dark colour.. It might actually be rather lovely to have a lighter possibly stone colour to go with the marble, things like stone or plaster colours would introduce warmth.. In this way the floor is the darkest element along with the window frame... Or if you wanted to keep to a dark grey for window side and then do the same opposite.. If the room is rather light then I think it can take it colour wise, but it all really depends on your preference re the aesthetic.. Then layer up with slate accessories and woods like shower matt and or cork... Some Aesop soaps and other lovely things like sponges to create a spa feel. Also some more lovely marble pieces to really bring out the look... Happy Easter to you too! : ))...See MoreNeed help with bathroom bulkhead please.
Comments (2)I like to hide things away so I would take out the existing cabinet and buy a much taller one or two stacked one above the other to sit better in the space (and perhaps get a less wide cabinet so it doesn't have to be pushed right into the corner and the doors are a little smaller). Any gap at the bottom or side you should add a pile of towels that you buy just for display purposes. Bath panel- the tongue and groove route will work but I think there are loads of inexpensive ready made bath panels online. Flooring choice- Personally I like this type of white tile warmed up with wood to avoid it looking too clinical. I would be looking to find a wood style with a redness to it to tone and then use this for the floor, and one or two other things such as a blind or the cabinet. Paint for me a white paint will be too clinical and you need to find a deeper colour to frame the whiteness of the sanitary ware and tiles. I like grey but you have to choose the right one for your tiles....See Morehelp on what paint colour to go for in this bathroom and help to updat
Comments (2)If you want to update on a budget, then I think painting the walls will help. I think a darker shade would look good, say a coffee or taupe colour maybe? I would paint the shelf the same colour as the walls and then add a plant or two, one hanging down and one spreading up and out. The tiling limits the colour palate, are they pinkish with brown and beige mosaic border? If taupe is not for you, then white walls, wooden shelving and plants would look good. Here’s some ideas...See Moreabby m
