Cushions are definitely a nice addition to a bed when it comes to comfort and cosiness. Rich, fluffy cushions add to the feeling you want to have when you are in bed: you want to feel relaxed. Besides, although they can be a pain to remove before sleeping if you have too many of them, they upgrade your bed to the next design level. I have 5 cushions, all of them rectangular and fluffy. I have mixed the colours, patterns, and textures in order to make my bed stand out: a nice trick for that is to use white sheets, and vivid and colourful cushions to contrast with the whiteness of the bed. Plain velvety mustard yellow and fushia plain cushions mixed with green geometric patterns, ... I've got them all!

Hello Claudia, Speaking from an art on walls point of view, I'm loving the challenge, so I present a few choice pieces for the wall above your two armchairs that I think will be a happy compliment to your existing decor and furnishings: As regards the picture above your piano, the colours work well with your room but you don't like the subject, right? If that's the case, this consideration will have to be a decision based on what subject(s) you really like or are quite sentimental to, as opposed to colour matching an art piece just to fit in with the rest of the room. If you do play the piano, musicians are very sentimental people, so you want something above the piano that you can "feel and connect to" when you're sitting there playing. It has to be sentimental to you, irrespective of what it is and what colour it may be, and not to consider it as part of the rooms overall decor. I see this was first posted in November 2015 but just wanted to add that unless you have allergies, feather filled cushions look and feel more comfy. Also nothing smaller than 45cm. I prefer 50cm. I think the decor is really lovely
