New kitchen suggestions
Comments (10)Spray paint the cabinets with a new layer, to make it look fresh. Give the tiles a good cleaning, remeber to clean the grouts properly (a peroxide based solution might help) ((remember to test on a small area first). Change the lightning type. Give the walls a frsh coat of paint. On a budget that should be enough i guess to change things over. Mid term: get a classier closed bin, to minimise odours and pest. Depending on sun and view at window maybe invest in some blinds for when you need shade and or privacy. Change the cooking range (if allowed). personal pet peeve: I personally would not prefer to have a washing machine in the kitchen....See Morecushions for sofa - suggestions please!
Comments (7)If you're after orange then personally I'd team it with some pale/sky blue, it works really well with both orange and gold. I'm a big fan of navy but you'd definitely need a rug to carry it off. Do you have anything else in the room? I was after navy geometric/moroccan cushions and was struggling so bought this throw from John Lewis for a bargain £49! Do you have a picture of any cushions you like as a guide even if they're the wrong Colour?...See MoreLow maintenance plant suggestions please!
Comments (5)Cacti and succulants need little care. Echiveria are an attractive choice. Spider plants are virtually unkillable. If you buy from a garden centre rather than a bring-and-buy sale you'll get more modern varieties which are more compact and stay looking good rather than the stringy older varieties. Cane type begonias - particularly Angel's Wing begonias. My mum had one she didn't actually like and would put it in the porch and stop watering it for months, and it would respond by putting out flowers. That plant survived several years of deliberate neglect before it was finally killed by leaving out over winter. Dibleys nursery is a good place to buy these. All plant suggestions courtesy of my mother, who neglects her house plants like you wouldn't believe. My suggestions for care: Beware over watering. I've heard that more house plants die from over watering than underwatering, and I believe it. You check if the plant needs watering by picking it up, and water if it feels too light. Or you can set a reminder on your phone and water all plants once a week (except in very hot weather). The plants I've recommended all cope with being dry....See MoreRug suggestion. Please I need suggestion for rug.
Comments (1)Presuming you are keeping the colour scheme the same anything from a Black, Slate or Silver Plush at the top end to more affordable Santa Cruz Boardwalk if you want more than one colour and more affordable....See MoreUser
