I agree with everything that's been said. I am looking for exactly the same sort of finish for a bathroom retrofit - going for a wet room. I did find this fabulous range in 'Champagne Bronze' finish: https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/collections/trinsic-bathroom-collection and- https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/T17T459-CZH2O BUT the (Canadian, I think) company do not deal with UK at all. The Yemen is on the list of countries where they have dealers, but not GB! I did email Delta Faucet but they never replied. You do see this range sometimes on eBay and Amazon. They are a bit pricey though and shipping costs are high, also my plumber cannot figure out if the range is compatible with our pipes/electrics/technicalities etcetc So, wake up UK plumbing companies!

I don't use the bath ever but I have an over head shower, perfect but if we didn't have a small bathroom I would just have a shower, reasons why we had a bath put in when we renovated was of a selling point.

I'm glad you are going to keep it, I think the sage green of this suite is spot on with today's trends....pair it with some warm grey slightly lighter on the walls and it will sing! Lots of modern chrome in taps and mirrors and it will look cutting edge. I'd go with a slightly darker tone of grey on the floor, maybe that textured industrial vinyl with the circular pattern, or something softer and plain if you are not that game. Add a tiny bit of wood - a wicker style plant pot or something, to soften the look. I've got mirrored cabinets on my walls for hiding bottles etc. They have sexy LED lighting and also demisting built in so no desperate wiping of mirrors when you are out of the shower. Many, many years ago (in Oz) I did a bathroom with a 1930s primrose suite...pale lemon. Tied it with terracotta on the floor, white tiled walls and a Portugese hand painted rustic border tile with a bit of strong yellow in the pattern. Looked fantastic but not exactly cutting edge these days, unless you have a rural holiday home on the continent.

Hi Kelly, thanks for the additional info - it always helps in order to advise on best options for any given situation. You make a few important points which have a bearing on the best way to go: Your knees dictate a strong desire for a shower It is not your "forever" home It is a home which, for resale, needs to appeal to a family If it were your forever home, I'd suggest ditching the bath and getting a really good, large walk in shower and spend the savings made by dropping the bath on really good fixtures & fittings. If getting in and out of a bath-shower precludes it, then I'd propose the layout mocked up below (please excuse the generic units and colours!): Key points of advice: Avoid the shower crossing the window at all costs - it will only bring you problems, especially in an older property with different construction and poorer insulation As a "young family" home, you must have a bath, and make it as easy to access as possible for a parent helping a baby in the bath - mount the taps under the window to make them easy to stretch to, and keep plenty of "kneeling room" Go for a quadrant (curved) shower - it will open up the area as much as possible, improve flow and doesn't lose any appreciable space. Max dimensions I'd go for are 800x1200 if doable behind the door - you'd need to measure accurately If you are able to squeeze in a standard 1700w bath at the end (if plaster is being redone, it could be chased in) then great - otherwise a 1600 is perfectly liveable when you also have a separate shower Use a wider, narrower depth slabtop basin unit - the one I've shown is about the maximum I think you can comfortably do at 400d x 810w, but I'd recommend perhaps a 350d x 600w like the Mereway Trend Simplicity basin As a family bathroom, think easy clean/maintenance - large format wall tiles with minimal grout lines, possible shower panels in the shower, perhaps a Palioclic floor. Don't break the bank on doing up the room, as you've already indicated you're likely to move before too long and as a "starter home", there we be an upper limit to the value it would add. That said, if you pick carefully, you can get some really good value flooring, tiles, fixtures and fittings which can make a modestly priced bathroom look considerably more luxurious!
