Agree that we need to see more photos. On my screen they both appear similarly pinkish beige, and although I love all your other choices, I’m not loving either of these.
You mentioned that Devol is an inspiration. (For me, too!) I know Devol uses their own cabinet paint colors, but what about Farrow and Ball? One of their mushroom-y colors? I think Shaded, Shadow, or Schoolhouse White might look beautiful in your space; or a light gray like Cornforth White; they have many gorgeous options. It’s a bit more expensive, but it might be just exactly perfect. Or you might try to color-match a chosen color with BM or SW paint.

It’s a very thoughtful combination. The puddy brings a mildness to it and the green tile is mild against the stone and expressive stove.

I forgot to say that I love the blue color of that tile with your stove.

Thanks guys! Chinacatpeekin - There is a F&B color called Elephant’s Breath I like. I’m going to take pics again tomorrow when there’s more daylight. The lights in my dining room are making this cabinet colors look much too warm.

I prefer the top photo, the gray (?)...but I’m not sure it’s the perfect color, at least on my screen. I’d like to see Elephant’s Breath:) I absolutely love the stove/ tile/ soapstone combination!

I need a putty color for low light. The Creamy White is too yellow and the Edgecomb too gray.

FWIW, I was looking at F&B Shaded White for my cabinets, which I think could be described as a “putty” color, although I’ve now decided on Mizzle.

Accessible Beige? All of those "putty" colors are so hard. They are all different depending on your lighting.

Still thinking on this. The cabinet guy has started but I still have a little time to finalize the paint. I did a color consult with a Sherwin Williams person. She suggested Colonnade Gray for the cabinets. It’s darker than I thought I’d go but she said that it would work better with the dark countertop (which I totally agree with). She also said that if I did darker cabinets and lighter walls (Aesthetic White) the contrast would really lighten the room. What do you think?

I am not a pro but that advice sounds right. Lighter walls will always give a brighter appearance.

UGH. Got the sample of Collonade Gray and it almost looks purple in my kitchen. I’m going to pay for a color consult. Any recommendations?

I don’t have a recommendation for a color consultant (although I think it’s absolutely money well spent if you find a gifted one) but Benjamin Moore’s Historical Colors would look wonderful in your home, I think. I’m not a pro, but I think in general BM colors are a bit grayer and dirtier (which I actually prefer), and SW are a bit clearer and cleaner.
Farrow & Ball has color consultation on line (I did not use this service so can’t vouch for it); their colors would also work well in your space. I’m using F&B in my project currently in progress- painting starts this week! Fingers crossed that I’m happy with my choices…Blue Gray cabinets, Schoolhouse White walls, Wimborne White trim, just to name a few.

I was looking at F&B’s Shaded White, which looks promising but was hoping to go with something easier to find. My cabinet maker is Amish and he said he could figure it out but I can tell it might be tough.

I really like Edgecomb but it just looks gray in my kitchen - like everything else. I really don’t want gray. I want putty! Give me mushroom! This is ridiculously difficult.

Copper hardware would have been nice

I’m opening up to an off white for the cabinets or even a totally different color. I was only worried that an off white wouldn’t be heavy enough to handle the darker countertop.

I’ll definitely consider copper hardware. Was planning on unlacquered brass but haven’t bought it yet.

Farrow and Ball Pigeon for the cabinets? Or Shadow White? I also like your suggestion of Shaded White.

For those still following along I think I might love the cabinets in SW Sea Salt. It’s one of my favorites and I have it in my bathroom now. I didn’t think of it before because I think I got so stuck on that putty color. But I think SeaSalt could be beautiful with the green stove and blue backsplash.

It will probably look more blue and darker in my low light kitchen but this is an example

Love your choices so far. We have Colonnade gray throughout our home (not my choice). I've found it its tone to be very light dependent. I love it in our SE facing bedroom where it is a tan/gray, neutral backdrop but in our family room which receives less direct light it takes on a purple/pink hue that's difficult to work with. If your kitchen has dramatically different light throughout the day or walls light differently take this into account when making your paint selection.

You said you wanted "mushroom". Have you tried SW Shiitake? It was recommended by our designer and I love that color, but it is just it a little too dark in m my room.

Kind of ironic that something in the white family gets you the look you want. It’s not bright and will look great next to your “star” (the stove). I liked the Sea Salt idea but this sample feels like what you’ve been aiming for all along.

Well I did a sample of sea salt in my kitchen and it turned baby blue. So sadly it didn’t work out.

We are mid-remodel. Cabinets don’t come until 9/16 but I need to select a wall color now.

I’m thinking a soft white. Trim is SW Pure White and cabs are FB Shaded White. Suggestions?

Although it’s not a “true” white, I suggest F&B Schoolhouse White with your cabinet color. I also like their Wimborne White, which is a warm soft true white.

Sorry Schoolhouse White didn’t work. How about Wimborne White? It’s a warm true white. I’m using it on my trim.

Had a designer once say that you can only have one "drama queen" in the room. So it is either your countertop, your floor, your backsplash, your appliances. Everything else is a "supporting cast member". In your case you've chosen it to be your green stove as the "drama queen" so your tile backsplash, flooring, countertops should all be neutral supporting players.

I do like your absinthe green backsplash tile.

Not many countertops will coordinate with the green stove, so I think you are right to select the black. That'll definitely suck the light out of the room and make it appear smaller and darker, but that's what happens when designing around "drama queens".

A soapstone countertop is a perfect choice. I can’t wait to see it!

When does the stove get installed?

Ugh not until after the floors are done. The floors aren’t scheduled until 10/15. So it will be a month from now for the fridge.
