Help kitchen tiles/ splashbacks help!

love my new kitchen but struggling to decide on tiles or splashback...I don't want ultra modern but don't want country either.. it's soooo hard!! we have anthracite tall radiators to go in yet too..x

Why not just have a glass backsplash behind the hob? I dont think you need a any patterned/coloured tiles or anything.

I think the kitchen will look great with the updates, the cabinets look good to me. I would however remove the 2 glass fronted ŵall cabinets. "Old hat" but why not grey for the cabinets as it ties in with the blinds in the living room? For the worktop have you also looked at the marble effect Quartz as its classic and should never date. Rather than tiles have an upstand and a splashback for the hob in the Quartz. Or if you want the wow, go for clear glass and have wallpaper underneath or commissioned art or silver leaf etc or even just a tiled splas hack. I also like your choice btw, i wouldn't pay attention to the kitchen company, it's your kitchen! Perhaps continue it down the side of the breakfast bar? have you considered cup handles? I love them and they give a contemporary or classic look to a kitchen. Maybe look at adding just a few green accessories to tie in with the blue?

Hi Liz, Cashmere grey is a great colour as so many colours go with it. would you like to add another colour to the kitchen? If so I would suggest a light pastel green or blue. If you are unsure of adding another colour a white glass back splash always look great! If you could put up some photos of your kitchen we might be able to help more. Thank you all for the very helpful suggestions. I've ordered some samples: https://tileweb.co.uk/globe-25x75-gris-gloss-glazed-ceramic-tile.html and https://tileweb.co.uk/globe-25x75-blanco-gloss-glazed-ceramic-tile.html Both are gloss and tend to reflect the light, these 2 tiles were picked mainly for their pattern and size at 25x75 to cover the overall 48cm height of the splashback, I'll see how they look like with my layout. I also liked the splashback of the first picture sent by Sonia, which company was that from? As Lynn suggested, a darker silver grey colour or any darker grout matching the same tile, or even no grout at all would be my choice. For now, I wish you all a Happy new year. Thank you again :) Fab
