Really need some splashback help please.

We are refurbishing the kitchen that came with the house. Keeping the units but changing handles, work top and spashback. The kitchen is open plan to the lounge and there are splshes of bright colours in the lounge, so I want to keep the kitchen fairly neutral in colour. I think. Open to ideas though.

The flooring has to remain as it is the same throughout the house. I hate it but it is very practical for dog hair.

The kitchen photos were taken before we moved in. The blind has gone and the walls are now white.

The colours in the lounge are mainly blues and turquoise some cerise, but I´m trying to move away from that.

I´m favouring the grey speckled Silestone worktop in the photo. This has silver flecks in it. I´ve had this previously and loved it, but the kitchen company said it is a little "Old hat" these days, which was disappointing. The other worktop is the recommended one, Pretty indestructable, I´m told and while I do like it, I don´t like it as much.

I´m really struggling to choose a splashback or tiles. I think glass will look too modern for the cupboard style. I don´t like metro tiles and I don´t really fancy a small tile at all. Stainless steel doesn´t seem right either. It needs to be easy to clean.

I will probably go for steel knobs on the cupboards.

I would really like a wow splashback, but I don´t think wow goes with the cupboards. Maybe a little silver somewhere would be nice.
