Splashback colour - help needed

We are getting glass splashbacks in our new kitchen. The kitchen is approx 4.5x5.5m & has lots of natural light as well as spotlights & under unit lights. Would we be ok going for a dark colour? Really like this Mulberry colour but worried we'll lose the light feeling. There are units in 2 L-shapes either side of the kitchen so the splashbacks would be on both sides & under windows. The units are taupe, worktop is taupe quartz with mirror specks & the floor is charcoal grey tiles with a lighter fleck. We would like a 'colour' as opposed to mirror ....or should we leave it white? Thanks.

I think taupe and deep purples are a fantastic combination.
The glass will bounce natural light and artificial light if you are worried about it becoming too dark; if you haven't already, consider LEd strip lighting under the wall cabinets,this will offset the splashback really nicely.
If you feel the purple is too dark, consider a shade few notches lighter.

Comments (5)Hi rubydiffey, I agree with Kharis & Kale, a metro tile would be great using a couple of colours to create a pattern and some interest. There is another company that uses a slightly different shaped tiles to create a pattern in the tiles. Here is one that we did a few years ago in Holland Park. The floor and worktops were basalt and the kitchen was from Boffi.
