Not sure how to layout room
Hello
I have a small spare bedroom in my house that I was going to rent out/air bnb. I bought a double bed and quite a large wardrobe. I am not sure how is best to lay the room out, it is quite small so its a bit of a challenge. Anybody got any advice regarding the two below layouts that I created?

Comments (3)It looks like the little kitchen area has now gone so I would create a booth style seating area in that space. The piano I would then put at an angle in the other nook facing into the room as a feature corner. The rest of the seating would then be in the main central area. I think ultimately this depends on the budget you now have to finish the room, whether lighting can be changed to incorporate some features and task lighting/pendants. Have you considered having a designer look at the space? I work remotely and include lighting, layout and accessorising in my PDF remote designs. Comments (1)It partly depends on the shape and size of the room. In my previous study, it was small enough that the wall behind me was relatively close, and functioned almost like a background screen. I had it painted F&B Chinese Blue, with no pictures. The plain wall in a striking colour worked well, and kept the attention on me. I now have an office which is more rectangular, so there's a kind of tunnel effect behind me. The walls are white which I think intensifies the tunnel effect. Comments (11)I think your curtains are great and will create a wonderful atmosphere in the evening. You could go for a dramatic dark scheme using the blue, either a real dark black blue or navy, which I think would still work with your neutral wood and soft furnishings. Am leaning towards using the dark over the lighter tones. The lighter tones in the curtains seem to have a gold tone coming out against the blue, you might be able to find shade which leans towards this with a sheen of gold or a sheen (?) for a lighter option. Hang one so you can see it fully and put up options on good size tester cards next to it to help make choices....See More

Here's another layout that you can try. If the wardrobe has sliding doors , it would work well in space. If the wardrobe has normal doors, you can try moving the bed as close as possible to the wall to get some space to open the door of the wardrobe.
