Bathroom makeover

We are in the middle if rebuilding our family bathroom, decided to go with green tiles, black taps, shower and radiator. Wooden floor and under sink cabinet. We're just not sure on wall colour, it's white at the moment but thinking it might need something else. Any ideas?

Comments (13)The bathroom measures 12ft x 7ft. I have a budget of around £1,000 for this room as in the very near future we will split the second bedroom to make a smaller bedroom and separate bathroom and put this bathroom back to bedroom 3. The carpets curtains and wallpaper are definitely going. The wall at the side of the loo looks bad but it’s just peeling paper. The walls may need skimming but this can be done along with the lounge. Comments (8)Morning Paulouise! I'm one of the designers here at Bathroom Eleven, in Surrey. White is definitely a way to bring lightness to a room, however, do always bear in mind the practicality of things like a white floor... it shows up a lot of towel fibers and dirt! A few things I would bear in mind when creating a brief with a client for this kind of bathroom is: - feature walls; a great way to create a sense of depth, particularly with that back wall of the bath/shower area - Keeping textures simple and not overcrowding. A usual error made when wanting to implement more storage is placing something wherever it will fit. Inevitably, this will make the room feel smaller as it will make the walls feel closer and create shadows on the floor giving the illusion of losing floor space - Lighting! Lighting is key! Feature lighting to eradicate shadows is a great way to make floor space feel bigger. - Wall hung Units and WC - keeping things off the floor will give the illusion of a bigger footprint to the room - Mirrors. If you can afford the space to have a nice big mirror on the other wall, that would help to give the room extra width, too. I hope these tips help!
