I like Crown's Sail White in a Matt Emulsion. We have used it in several rooms and it has worked everywhere. It does not have a grey, pink or yellowy undertone and would go well with pebble grey.

I just feel like all that beautiful afternoon/evening light and view of cherry tress is lost in the kitchen where I probably spend an hour or so cooking. A lounging and dining area there would probably be a better place to enjoy it and is where I would like to spend the time. Also with the curries I make, and I cook a lot, I am drifting away from an open plan kitchen...in the opposite direction of all the Houzz kitchens. Just having second thoughts about going from an airy well lit kitchen to an artificially lit one. Will still have a high window facing south.
