I’ve used Denim Drift in my shower room and we love it. It is quite dark but I wonder if using it on the fireplace wall may suit your room?

If tou want to go for colour, I’d go a light and would out put it on the opposite wall to the tv.

Another option to go all white and add some wood panelling to make a feature of the fireplace/tv wall. Wood will also bring in some warmth to the room.

Hello, thanks for the suggestion. The wood panelling isn't my cup of tea but the colour is nice with the white. Our large TV stand is that colour so that will bring a bit of warmth to the room. Likely getting a brown/darker beige sofa for practical reasons too.

Thanks. This is our TV stand which will be placed in the centre of the room... My husband I don't shy away from bolder colours. He likes the idea of having a dark wall behind the TV which could add to the viewing experience. Guess we could potentially look at a darker TV wall and take it from there. Keen to put some art over the sofa too and like the idea of plenty of plants. Thank you!

If your going with the blue accent wall it would look better if you tie the colours together with soft furnishings. Try different textures and shades of blue in the cushions, curtains and a rug.

Thank you....leaning away from an accent wall towards an all over colour (had a lot of accent walls over the years so fancying something different. Perhaps a lighter colour green having just stumbled across Dunelm's Lilypad paint. Planning on getting some swatches to see how it looks with the floor.

Thanks for asking. Home decorating can be a challenge, especially when you are creating the perfect space in your rooms. A simple change in your wall color or changing accessories can give the appearances of a new and improved spaces. You don't need to completely redecorate your room. Just make a small tweaks here and there. Just look in that image. Install good color carpets rugs on the floors to meet right appearances of your rooms.

lovely room :) As it seems to back onto the garden can i suggest incorporating more natural colours so more plants by those back doors and maybe some hanging planters on the walls? I am loving the white but the stripe paper seems to make the room look longer and If thats the effect you want then you have done a great job :), but if you are wanting a more cosy den i would go for the neutrals, leather, jute, wood, and blend the colours of the garden.

Hello....the decor on the photo is from the previous owners. I am leaning towards Dunelm's Lilypad paint, maybe some bamboo lightshades and wood shelving and picture frames. Really liking your suggestions...they are in line with what I am thinking. I want lots of plants too!

Yes im quite liking the industrial look at the moment too , Dunelm have some amazing offers at the moment ^^

We have a Dunelm locally which will be really handy once we have moved in (but not so good for my bank balance!)
