When we seal our microcement for bathrooms we use a two pack polyurethane. We use either matte, satin or gloss. Nothing gets through that and it's really hard wearing. So yes, as tamp75 rightly said, it can be sealed. Just make sure you give the product the right amount of time to cure before it gets wet. Also, use a high quality mask as the fumes will make you sick. good luck :)

the costs quoted are way to expenisve. I appreciate you may be in business to make a profit but the prices quoted are verging on extortion. Greed is not a good thing, so give then a real cost and not something that pays for the next fast car you desire!! you can lay it yourself with a bit of practice and the cost of materials will give you several attempts to improve rather than give your money away to the greedy pros!

I think that one of the problems with this small bathroom is that it's broken into many elements, making the space appear even smaller. The slope is very sculptural but spoiled by the style of window. Would you consider replacing the window with a full pane of glass in a casement or awning style opening? I'd also recommend either removing the tongue and groove boarding and skimming the wall or replacing the boards with T & G that extend from the floor to the ceiling. I'd remove the tiles and replace with T & G as well. Also, to unify the space, remove the ceiling tiles, which look like polystyrene, and the coving to simplify the overall appearance. A paler tint of the blue-green and a simpler window film in a foggy texture will allow more light to enter the room.

It's a great space, and plenty of room to have a separate shower. I would move the sink to where the toilet is and have a mirror above - as this area gets lots of natural light this is an ideal spot for a sink. You could then have a wet-room style shower in the corner where your existing sink is. Having a wet-room style shower allows a seamless transition into the cubicle without breaking up the floor.
