Wallpaper in bathroom good or bad?

Is wallpaper going to work in a bathroom or is it a bad idea. Are there wallpapers made for bathrooms?

I wouldn't say it's impossible & yes, you can get bathroom wallpapers although, when I looked, I thought the choice was fairly limited. Depends on how steamy the room gets - do you have an extractor fan / vent? You could seal over normal wallpaper with s

Whoops - posted too soon... You could seal with some kind of clear Matt varnish.

A belated THANK YOU to everyone who commented. This is the final result. We're super happy with it. Room A north facing "through-lounge" in a new build, 3 bed semi detached house Paint Walls: Purbeck Stone, Farrow & Ball Ceiling: Strong White, Farrow & Ball By the way, the room isn't as long and skinny as it looks in the photos. Painting it all one colour actually made it feel much, much larger. We were really impressed with the quality of advice the F&B staff gave us in regards to colour. We loved Purbeck Stone from the minute we saw it, and being brave really paid off.

Bad bathroom grout

Agree with P&P, It looks like the spacings on the tiles ( especially the floor ) isn't quite right, and the dark grout is highlighting it. You'd be better to rake out and get a professional to do it. Choose a lighter colour for the floor grout, it'll disguise the tiles that aren't lined up right, one of them looks a little up on one corner too, so not quite level either. The tiles round the sink pedestal are cut particularly badly, so i'd have those up and start again.

I like both the tiles and wallpaper however you do tend to see wallpaper with panelling or small tiles. Wh such large format tiles ( and given the texture) I'm wondering if it would be better to go for something like the 1st option (think this is also textured) or a form of geometric? I know this is shown with panelling but i think a form of geometric paper would work. It would however be good to see what else is going in the room

When we seal our microcement for bathrooms we use a two pack polyurethane.
We use either matte, satin or gloss. Nothing gets through that and it's really hard wearing. So yes, as tamp75 rightly said, it can be sealed. Just make sure you give the product the right amount of time to cure before it gets wet. Also, use a high quality mask as the fumes will make you sick.
