replacing old radiators

Looking for opinions and advice here. I am looking to replace some really old radiators in the house but found out that the width of it is 1270mm, which does not really fit the convector heaters or column radiator widths that I could find. Is the design solution to use valve extensions with a 1200mm radiator (closest size I could find) or really have to take up the floorboards and move the copper pipes underneath.
