It’s difficult to comment for certain without the actual plan. I always aim for a 900L in the corner so both doors open to allow full access. I’m not a lover of straight corner bases where you have to scramble on your knees to get into the far corner but if you did that on your plan you would have to move the sink over to allow for it.

What are you planning to put on the open base shelves?

Thanks Daisy. Thats a good point on the corner. We’ve only known straight corner bases but understand what youre describing. due to plumbing etc. and providing as big a workspace to the left of the sink as possible it makes sense to have the sink there. Both ends have kidney style pullouts since I also hate scrabbling to access the back of cupboards.

The open shelving will house books on the lower levels and ornaments on the lit top shelf. since we use that area as a ’snug’ it feels like it should work well. I’ll upload the plan later.

If I understand, there's a U shape, that you need to maintain because of underfloor heating, right? As long units are lifted from floor is ok too

Thanks Carla. i should have explained the existing layout doesnt have heating under the units. So changing the layout will result in cold spots :-(

Looks stunning.....my only comment on the lighting is that the clusters of 3 spots (although they look modern) will tend to give a shadowy/patchy light rather than an even light. Try and think of evenly spaced spots for your working light and then your under cupboard and peninsular pendants to give some ambience and character.
