SW Chatroom is not available here but FB Hardwick White is a close relative and a darker version is BM Desert Twilight.

Look at Farrow & Ball’s shade called Cromarty. It is a light reflecting pale green. If it suits then get it copied for a fraction of the price from Johnstones. It’s a perfect replica. Greens would work well for you.

It's impossible to tell from a photo what colour the headboard and carpet (all neutrals have a colour). As Marylee says, Slipper Satin, Shaded White, Slaked Lime (Little Greene) all worth trying. Skimming Stone is beautful and also a good one to try (less yellow than Slipper Satin) but testing essential!

That’s Colourhappy, I appreciate that. Yes, skimming stone is used throughout our home and is actually the colour of the skirting boards and door, however it looks a little too cold in our room we feel it’s a little too grey. I love slaked lime too so will check that out in this room with a tester. Thanks for your help.

Hi Alex Holls, you have such a lovely bedroom! Adding sage green would create interest and a contrast without being too dark or light in the room. You could bring this in with soft furnishings such as cushions and throws. If you would prefer to add sage with paint then take a look at Little Greene Boringdon Green or Farrow and Ball Vert De Terre.

Lovely room. Funny but the walls look a warm white, but that may be my screen! You could add sage green cushions and a throw to pep it up a bit without painting. I have F&B Cromarty in my living room. It is quite cool but a lovely colour (first pic below).

Thanks Sonia. Your room looks gorgeous. The room definitely needs painting. We bought the farmhouse nearly 3 years ago - I’d just had a baby so we didn’t have much time for painting. The house had been restored by the previous owner and everything was painted white and dark green and there was lots of orange wood! We got rid of the orange wood and painted the doors skimming stone & skirting boards. Our room is white but it’s very patchy - I think the previous owner just gave it a builders coat of paint. Really want to warm it up a little and keep it light. I’ll be painting the sets of drawers either side of the bed too in a contrasting colour, new bedding, accessories and cushions as well. Thanks for the tips.

Green and blue cushions on the bed would add a little contrast. I don’t know where you are but there’s a place called The Bear at Rodborough in Gloucestershire with some bare Cotswold stone walls in some of the public areas. You’re most welcome, Alex. Like you, I’m a fan of neutral schemes - Slipper Satin is one of my go-to colours - but I’ve often noticed how small pops of colour can lift such schemes. This one from a Cornish Beach House by Sims Hilditch is a good example. Imagine the room without the throw and the cushions and it would look quite bland.

Aww thank you! It really would and it’s such a beautiful room. I love sims hilditch. I think I may do something similar with some pops of green etc. I hopefully won’t go off that. Thanks so much.

Teal shades or Duck egg blue furnishings would work beautifully in your bedrooms. It would complement the wooden beams and brickwork.
