Comments (2)I agree. A close match to the sofa or very slightly darker to ground it, and you'll have a neutral starting point for many years to come. Not so sure about adding a rug on top of carpet; perhaps you could do something creative with a coffee table that uses the colours from the curtains, and obviously cushions and throws too?...See Morelounge

Your local carpet supplier / shop will let you take home a selection of their carpet sample mats for you to see what looks best - it is always best to do this check in the room, in various lighting conditions and on different parts of the floor. Many carpet companies also send out a limited number of free samples to help you. The term "beige" covers a lot of options and some might work, but others won't against this particular grey wall. Recently, we've fitted a number of Cormar carpets (the Sensation and Sensation Supreme Ranges) which have several beiges and greys to choose from. Hope this helps for now.
