- is 85cm deep enough for an island? it’s 2.6 metres long. I want to make sure there’s enough room for a dining table and chairs without being squashed and this dimension works - but I’m a bit worried it’ll look too long and thin? It was going to be 2.3 but we are making it a bit longer now. It’s going to be used for food prep and kids to sit at and do homework maybe. (There’s no hob or sink on there).
