Bedroom furniture/curtains advice needed!
So i have a small bedroom (3 X 3.15m) with a king single bed which I've started redorating. I was never really a fan of the light baby blue walls/brown carpet combo (it looks more grey in the daytime, but the blue and brown are much more intense in the evening and they don't very well), but there's not much i can do about that, so I've decided to at least change what I can. I've already got new linen with a grey/light grey and black theme for the bedding (see photos below), and am looking to replace the bedside table, tallboy and those ghastly curtains, but have no idea on what colours/style to go for. I've also ordered a grey bedhead which is a few shades lighter than the charcoal base, but should still work with the room.
As for the furniture, i was thinking of going for black on both and grey curtains as this works with the overall vibe of the bedding, but have no idea if that would work with the blue walls and brown carpet... any advice is much appreciated! (excuse the mess in the photos pls)

Comments (33)White or pale walls are ok, DOn't feel that the only way to decorate4 is by painitng the walls. Decide if you want white on white scheme, or a pop of colour. If so, cushions and curtains are the way to go. Decide on a colour and stick to it. Comments (10)I think decorating with red can be difficult but in my opinion there are some tricks. Firstly I would choose a wallpaper that has a pattern. Be mindful of your desire to make the room elegant and avoid retro patterns, abstract swirly patterns and high contrasts of colour such as red and white or red and black. If you find a pattern you like such as the pictures included you will have a palate of three colours you can use which makes it easier to make decorating choices- for instance if you chose the Wysteria pattern- you could add this to either the whole room or a feature wall then consider the grey colour for the remaining walls. Personally I think the plain duvet needs a Chunky knit throw and the bedside tables need a bigger more ornate table lamp. PRO3 years agolast modified: 3 years agoI like the headboard and the bedding. Would in better to move the bed to the opposite wall? Do you have a floorplan, i don't understand the layout. The room looks smaller than 3m x 3.15m. I'd put the bedside table to the other side of the bed so the bed would be against the wall. I'd go for more natural light wood bedside table and chest of drawers.
dark blue / denim roman blind blue and brown can work.
You can hange the closet door to a livht wood louver door for a softer look
