I really like your herringbone tiles, am considering something similar so looking forward to more of your photos. I would go with painted behind the wall hung toilet as think it may get overwhelming with more tile. Where are your wall tiles from - they are a good combination of width and length?

Thank you for your images Abi, This is an example of what you could do with wall tiles, in this kitchen it is positioned in a chevron setting to provide a visual texture and in turn interest. However yes it could turn out to be a time consuming and costly process. Although this image is not an example of a galley kitchen and what you are after, it is just an idea of what could be done with tiles. A simple suggestion for your dilemma however would be to tile the walls in a horizontal position and it does not have to be in the same direction as the floor. Redoing my dining room which I would love to change into a kitchen family room but kitchen is relatively new hence stuck with renovating just the dining room. Switching from dark wood furniture to a more modern look. I have really a blank canvas but a complete mental block, need some help with picking furniture. Kitchen is a very soft green, livingroom is beige with accents of blue Was looking for modern pictures, colourful rug, and ideas for windows. The dining room has two large windows. Any ideas would be helpful. House is late 18th century, semi listed but modern. There are 4 doors in the dining room all painted white with white skirting boards and wooden floors. Would like a real wooden table, something of a talking point, then can move forward. Any help welcome

That's interesting colourhappy - we did omit the aqua tiles and put just the taupe with blanco (which has some grey tones in the variations) but it looked a little bland which is why we thought the aqua might liven it up but now I'm thinking you are right and they are too cool for the flagstones.
