Sacrificing Downstairs loo
Comments (16)I'm not sure it's a good idea to do without a downstairs loo if you have room overall - for all sorts of reasons. Is there any possibility of relocating the loo etc. to beneath the staircase? We've had to do the same as part of our current project. It has been a compromise (and costly) but crucial to a better use of every other room downstairs. Just a thought though, check with building control at your local council if you could remove the loo. We understood from our architect that there is a regulation preventing removal but that you're not bound to obey it. We have ended up with a less accessible loo than previously but were able to satisfy the planners....See MoreHonest opinion needed please!
Comments (10)Great kitchen. Lamp looks good. Have you tried turning it around, pointing it at the top area of wall and towards ceiling? Tricky to judge the 'warmth' (colour) of the light in the photo, but usually 2700k (very warm) to 3000k (warm) is a good choice if you don't want light to be too white....See MorePlease can I have some opinions on decorating my bathroom?
Comments (13)Thanks so much to everyone who has commented with your great ideas. I think I now have my heart set on the Hague blue (I was looking at ‘midnight blue’ ideas before my post and this colour I just love so thanks for this idea!). I also definitely agree I need a new bath panel so have been looking at the marine ply online and think it’s a great idea to paint this the Hague blue too. I like the idea of a small shower caddy for our main shower products and make room in our current storage unit for other items. I have also thought storing the bath toys in the children’s room until needed and then store away again. Which colour towels and bath mat should I get to match this idea? Grey? Also will replace with some new pictures to hang if anyone has any good recommendations?...See MoreKitchen diner 4.3mx6.2m opinions please
Comments (3)If you can sketch a floorplan with measurements showing doorways/windows that would help. Sorry, but I think it sounds like a lot to fit it's that size of room. My kitchen is that size and I have no range/American fridge freezer/washer/drier....See More- 3 years ago
