Comments (5)I think you need to look at the whole house not just the ground floor. I can see why the bathroom on the GF exists because you have 4 beds and only 1 bathroom upstairs so someone installed the bathroom directly below using the same pipework etc., Do you really need that tiny bedroom upstairs at the front of the house? it would make a great en-suite to your master bedroom and balance your home better. You should speak to an estate agent to understand if this will impact the value of your home - personally I doubt it would as the room is very small. In the basement area with utility area, I would add a loo - great for kids in the garden or workmen. Then you could take down the wall between the dining room and kitchen. This is just my view but I am sure others will have better ideas. On your budget of £15k and if you are able to do some DIY you might be able to do it but I think it will be tight. If the budget were higher I would probably move the entire kitchen diner into the basement and take advantage of accessing the garden from that point too....See MoreFabric suggestions for for kitchen roman blinds
Comments (5)Hi, thank you for your comment. The floor has a slight green tone to it which I think can be seen in the 4th picture. The cupboard colours are little greene french grey and juniper ash. The current wall colour F&B shaded white. It opens up in to the table/dining area so the only walls are the window wall or cooker wall. Comments (10)I feel there is perhaps too much colour and pattern. I think going for a french country look with white walls, including the brick, blue additions in accessories and for the fabric. I think Zelig tiles in an off white or blue or even pink would suit your kitchen. I would go for a small gingham print for the skirts in a blue, green or pale grey. A thin country stripe would also go well. Just keep the palate simple. Zelig tiles have a lovely pearlised hand made look (first pic). There is a beautiful magazine called Country Homes & Gardens which showcases lovely cottages and other country houses and a great place to get ideas. Pinterest is also good for ideas and is free. Comments (8)I agree with Sarah in that the kitchen isn't finished yet, i'd add to what Sarah said that the worktop edging isn't fitted, base decor is missing underneath, wall decor above hasn't been fitted properly (set to far back and doesn't underhang/overhang the same as the ones by the extractor), the 2 decors by the extractor look like they need cutting back so they're flush with the doors, the door hanging either side of the oven should be swapped round IMO, then plinth, mod pelmet and mod cornice as Sarah commented....See More
3 years agoI think sage green looks better with white walls. I don’t think the blue wall will go at all. You could go on the Dulux or Farrow & Ball website to see what colours go best with the green. Wood elements would look great with the copper elements too. Keep it light and simple, I feel.

I hope I'm not too late to answer :)
Here are my thoughts on your issue:- I think blue and sage green are working well together but I would probably go more with an indigo blue, to have more of a split complimentary process (indigo - sage green - copper);
- For the additional colour, you can play with the hues you find in copper (even when it's reflecting light). You could chose a light orange (a tone down of copper) to stay in the split-complementary palette completely or you can chose a light baby pink (I took the Baby Pink Plain Tana Lawn™ Cotton as a reference / Chemise from Little Greene is also working). You'll find below the two colour scheme suggestions.
