Fabric suggestions for for kitchen roman blinds

Hi everyone, Id love some help with our kitchen colours and advice on roman blind fabric and/or general interior design help. I feel it needs warming up and another colour introducing but not sure what colour. I like the blue but in hindsight not sure the grey was a good idea with the grey floor. It is here to stay for now so thinking that roman blinds would help. Any fabric ideas appreciated. Budget bit tight sadly! Thank you very much.

Gosh that floor is stunning. The floor seems to have a warm undertone and the cupboard look cooler. What is the cupboard colour? I wonder if one wall painted a warm grey colour similar to the floor may help to tie it together and warm it.

Hi, thank you for your comment. The floor has a slight green tone to it which I think can be seen in the 4th picture. The cupboard colours are little greene french grey and juniper ash. The current wall colour F&B shaded white. It opens up in to the table/dining area so the only walls are the window wall or cooker wall. Thanks for your help.

Hi there, As others have said, it much depends how you use your kitchen. Lots of our customers do choose Roman blinds for their kitchens as they like the softness they provide - but you must think about things like splashes from sinks as well as cooking smells. One thing others have suggested is Wooden blinds. Fauxwood blinds are the perfect solution for kitchens - they look like wood, but they won't warp in steamy conditions and are really easy to wipe clean. Good luck with your search, Zoe

Heatherbroadbent. Your comment made me chuckle as my husband likes to help choose furnishings, but he really hasn't a clue. I'm going to have Roman blinds in my kitchen and bathroom and I showed him what they were. He said he didn't like the pattern (!) - I was showing him the style of blind not the fabric, it was just an example..........they really should leave it to us you know haha. Hope all goes well for you.

Just to add the juniper ash (blue) makes the french grey look a completely different colour grey where the blue reflects on to it. Amazing how light can change things... sadly not always in a good way!

I'd be loathe to affect the light from the windows.

what about a mirrored splashback behind the cooker? some lovely ones, even antique ones. plain would reflect some light.

How about a roman blind you can hang above window, therefore maximising light? I think a bold print like Orla Keily Two Stem (or similar cheaper option- check Dunelm Mill etc).
