Hi. Do you have a picture of the room? I like your idea to bring in something contemporary and the bed in the picture is very similar to yours. I do think the table would sit better ideally on a hardwood floor or maybe a patterned rug, or even quite a flat weave carpet though. I'd go for a French antique chest of drawers either in a neutral painted finish or the oak. I also quite like the idea of adding a ghost chair but with a throw or cushion so it doesn't look too samey. I quite like this mirror too:)

I would agree definitely add flowers and a plant. I also think the room is lovely and would live with it for a while and just add accessories that you love when you find them. My first thought re colour was building on the fig/aubergine but I can’t find anything! I might also change the lampshades so they stand out a little more against the wall. I think an Ikat design for cushions would work well with the paper. I’d also add a few more bits to the bedside table, flowers, candle, photo frame, drinking glass and tray, alarm clock etc. Silk tassels are also a great way to add colour and texture to furniture, walls, vases etc but I’m struggling to find photos!

Hellooo!! Its the old gang back! I'm finally doing the bedroom/dressing room and ensuite. Patio now sorted too. I'm on a mission now to try to get things sorted before any Brexit turmoil requires us to tighten the purse strings..
