7 years agoHello dear selenalouise it depends on what you want for kind if you want white, cool, ideas, vintage, black or IKEA models.? And also in this type what in the sort of white do you need for instance modern or children's ....

7 years agoDefinitely something along the classic look. The glass / mirrored ones clash in style far too much. This one from Worldstores in cream with the limed oak finish would sit well with the beautiful bed. I think white may be too stark, so off white or cream.

I was going to suggest meeting half way and painting chairs and / or table legs. If not, add some cushions to the chairs. I think house of fraser do a range of shabby chic cushions. I think key to the look are the distressed furniture, floral patterns and flowers, maybe a chandelier, mismatched accessories and the use of pastel colours. If you can't afford real flowers each week invest in some quality artifical flowers to put in a jug on the table. Don't be afraid to mix floral fabrics. I'd use lots of white with duck egg and some pastel pink. I can't find your original posting but typically you associate the look with wood floors. If you don't have this maybe buy a shabby chic rug. I think my style would be a base of what I learnt os called transitional with some eclectic touches. i like the boho-chic trend but don't see it squarely as working in this flat. Having said this, I am stumped: most pictures of bedrooms just focus on the bed/bedding/side table combo and there is much less including armoires (... or am I just looking in the wrong places???). I have been looking at a lot of shops online and found out I like the vibe of (some) Oliver Bonas and Graham and Greene for inspiration, and some sections in Maisons du Monde. 7 years agoJust taking a wild guess but if you like shabby chic you might also like the Voilieres bird cage chandelier seen here in a room mixing old and "new". I also love panelling effect wallpaper which I think could work well in your room (mineheart.com)
