Really depends on how long you are planning to live with this kitchen for as to how much effort you put in. How good are the cabinet, could you replace the doors within your budget rather than paint them? If you do paint them Elephant Breath F&B paint or Dulux Egyptian Cotton or Fired Earth Oak Apple type colour for the cupboards so the copper tones in the flooring are not fighting with the wood tones? Not sure its possible but see if you can find a tiler to cut out the twee tiles and replace with someone else less twee that fits. I'd def replace the worktops with something more neutral. You've got a lot going on in the colour/texture of the floor and the design of the cabinets so I think you need to calm it down a bit.

Hi. I'm not sure if you want to paint the units and island the same or perhaps paint the ŵall units a different colour to blend into the ŵalls? I would go for either a greige or a green to tie the cream and dark grey. F&B elephants breath is nice (can look dark in some rooms depending on the light though). it would also look nice paired with brinjal on the island although I may be tempted to change the worktop then :( Ball green or mizzle by F&B may also work. Little Greene have some lovely colours and would be my preferred paint choice for kitchen cabinets. Kitchen green is nice or maybe normandy green paired with theatre red for the island. Have you considered actually removing the ŵall units depending on how much storage you need and perhaps adding some shelves on the window side as I think it will really open up the space? If you're painting perhaps a change of handles? My personal choice would be just to remove the tiles and use washable paint on the ŵalls. You shouldn't get too many splashes with the upstand unless you're like me with an electric whisk and it depends where you do most of your prep work. It looks as if it will be a great room

No! Don’t use pink stuff paste or a magic eraser! Pink stuff spray is fine but not the paste. We have spare doors at work and have done tests on them. You should not use a product that is harsh such as paste because in time it will take the surface of the door off. If however your doors are so bad that they are ready for replacing you have nothing to loose. I’m now monitoring the removal of marks with baby wipes. For some strange reason they seem to shift a multitude of sins.

Hi , We are using both colours ...I prefer dark ,hubby prefers light . But both look good so we are leaving the units as they are .just need to change flooring and we are done . It was worth the effort though at the time I was regretting starting the project but the paint and Handle changes have made such a difference to the room. All for about 100 pounds :-) It's worth the time and effort and more satisfying because we have done the work ourselves.
