Comments (148)No! Don’t use pink stuff paste or a magic eraser! Pink stuff spray is fine but not the paste. We have spare doors at work and have done tests on them. You should not use a product that is harsh such as paste because in time it will take the surface of the door off. If however your doors are so bad that they are ready for replacing you have nothing to loose. I’m now monitoring the removal of marks with baby wipes. For some strange reason they seem to shift a multitude of sins....See MoreCan I fit a dishwasher in my existing kitchen
Comments (6)Thank you all. So I measured up. The cabinet on the right + the clearance next to the sink is around 48 cm. So my question is if we remove the cabinet can we put a frestanding slimline dishwasher. What will the countertop rest on in that case?...See Morefinal kitchen cupboard layout etc
Comments (105)Shan M - I never did do the brick slips in the end! I managed to salvage a wall to the side of the kitchen so ended up just painting the back kitchen wall in the same colour as the units (well itt's a different tone due to the paint finish) and it's quite dramatic and I love it. If I had done brick slips, they would have gone on afterwards and been fitted around the units to save money. retrospectively, the brick slips cost the same as a full brick and although the original builder said it would be cheaper to tile with slips rather than to build a brick wall, the actual bricklayer (after he finished the job) disagreed! He said he could have done block work up the units and bricked all the exposed areas. Probably would have cost the same as tilers are not cheap! Comments (14)You'll still need a support panel between the d/washer and the washing machine, as the gap is 500 the support panel could go behind the door and with a bit of shaping to allow for the dishwasher door to open it could work. Only problem then is as the door has a vertical handle already fitted the dishwasher would be awkward to open (normally has a horizontal handle). The support panel can be made from melamine faced chipboard 18mm thick and in alabaster or cream colour to match but you wouldn't see it untill you open the door, unfortunately not the neatest way to do it. Have you considered having a freestanding d/washer instead (I originally thought you wanted a freestanding d/washer), you still need the support panel (do magnet not do this colour anymore) as you'd only see it end on it doesn't matter about the tongue and groove and even though they've changed their door sizes they wouldn't of changed their panel sizes....See MoreVeronika Lavey
