I would leave ‘c’ out of the equation. Not getting a vibe with it and what you have. I think you need to place the remaining options behind the lamp to see how they work, as the lamp has a green element to it. Seeing it near ‘b’ strikes me as an exciting option, and it seems to bring something from the lamp too.

Oops sorry ‘a’ option! But would be interested to see the other options near the lamp.

I like C - I think it suits everything else in the room the best, I’d avoid A - it competes with the rug and would look too much in alcoves.

Another vote for C. It picks up the pinks and greens you have, the small scale print, in an arts and crafts style, is more complementary of the large florals in the rug etc. I would just go for a shade of cream for the fireplace as it picks up the rug background and tiles and will keep the room light and fresh

Amanda I’ve just commented on your other post, but your room is a bit like mine. I painted my wooden fire surround white, and the walls are Cromarty. My curtains are beige with faded red flowers and I have a red persian rug and I sometimes swap it for a cream and grey rug for a change. Just an idea. Other nice greens are Mizzle by F&B, Pigeon (although that’s a darker green) and Dulux Tranquil Dawn. That’s assuming you want green walls! Apart from pigeon they are all very soft, gentle greens. A pinky peach wall colour colour could also go well, I feel.

A still does it for me, especially with the lamp. I think it might be the large scale with dark background, the pink would go well. A good combination, however appreciate that the more neutral sofa may not be the best with it. C seems a bit busy.

The lamp is a “blue”green and the sofa is a “yellow” green, both colours are found in your lovely rug. This is why it’s difficult to choose. Could you provide photos of the wallpaper next to the green sofa?

Hey. Thanks for that, helpful advice. I kid you not. I am going to scrap it all and put monkey wall paper up!! Just waiting for samples of either yellow, blue or multi.. I will photo as asap. :)

B is interesting but not overwhelming pattern, while C goes very well with fireplace tiles and stuff you already have. That pink rose shade for other walls is charming, but at the same time strong and maybe overpowering in long term. I would look for muted greens.

You have a really dramatic rug, and also the panels set into the fire surround. I think yet another bold pattern for alcove walls would be a bit overpowering - whichever one you went for. I also feel the right hand sofa colour doesn't go with anything, but is a large presence in the room. There would be more coherence if they were both this green colour (or lighter plain) I think I might forget wallpaper for the time ebing, and go for just painted pink walls in the niches alone, to tie in with the rug. You might also consider re-covering the sofa(s) in a plain fabric to match more closely with the pale stone background colour of the rug. If you ever decide to change the rug in future, you could opt for a plain one, and pick a more vibrant wallpaper for the alcoves.
