READ THIS BEFORE PURCHASING A KITCHEN FROM Wren!!!!!!

We purchased a kitchen from Wren, when we entered the show room it all looked fancy and nice but, don't get deceived by the look of things, these guys have no clue about kitchens making. the guys who designed our kitchen had a nice illustration of how the kitchen should look like once built, the actual kitchen, once installed was anything but what he showed us.
The 2 towers they sold us weren't what we ordered and pay for at all, the under basin unit wasn't something we've ordered at all, the corner unit wasn't something we've ordered at all, in all units shelves didn't had holes in the right places what caused the shelves to be unlevel, the hinges they sent, which supposed to be soft close were actually not the right hinges and the tower door was slamming and making noise. The other tower had a chip broken in it, other unit’s shelf had a gap at the back and all units has hands marks on them, they didn't supply us with a sink support but we only realised it when the guy who came to do the measuring for the quartz mentioned it, absolutely a joke.

I must say that when we wented to but a kitchen we thought Wren is one of the best around but, let me tell you something, this company is a joke, they only look fancy from the outside but once you purchased your kitchen and paid thousands you realise their kitchen couldn’t be more rubbish.

Their customer support is also not great say the least, after they sent the faulty units I contacted their customer support (spending 1.5 hours!!! each session and we had 4 sessions with them on the phone) telling them about all the above issues and that my installer already fitted the units and now I need to remove the faulty units and re-fit them, they didn’t want to cover the work, they said they’ll send new units which they did but, when the new units arrived they had the same fault as the original once, absolutely a joke.

The oven they sold us doesn't even fit the type of gas we're using - LPG, they didn't even ask us what type of gas we have at home and was only worry about selling us something, they obviously have no idea of the items they are selling.

Do yourself a favour and stay away from this company. Also spread the roomer so your friends and family won’t do the same mistake cause once you paid them thousands of pounds, you’re on your own.

It is all look fancy from the outside but, actually rotten from the inside.

I’m sorry you've had to experience such bad service from them but it doesn’t surprise me. There is a FB site for them and it is absolutely littered with complaints, cancellations, ombudsman information and court. Some of the images are heart breaking especially when people have scrimped and saved for their dream kitchen which has turned into a nightmare.

There is no such thing as finance free options which is one of their main selling points. It’s all added into the price.

You can’t beat an independent for choice, service and value. They are no more expensive and in most cases cheaper.

My 13 year old Wrens kitchen has been fine. At the time they didn’t do fitting so I had my own fitter. I agree that they have flashy showrooms which can sway you, and I have heard about their extremely poor reviews and customer service. I think I was just lucky!

Hi looks like a wenge 50mm square edged worktop that wilsonart used to make, unfortunately thats been discontinued, except wren's version is 80mm thick. if you want square edged and the extra thickness i think you'll have to get it made for you by a laminate fabricator/worktop supplier. this isn't as expensive as it sounds and they'd have a massive choice of colours from all the worktop manufacturers available and they can make it to your specification, you'll have to do a search for your nearest worktop supplier (ignore all the howdens and sheds etc). still can't see why wren wouldn't sell you the worktop though, might be worthwhile trying a different showroom, sounds like the salesperson couldn't be bothered.

We produce CAD images of the designs we create with clients to suit their rooms - but we don’t sell any products - we let the clients shop around with one plan to compare like for like from lots of places - as lots of people these days like to do. This means the kitchen suppliers - who might be one of maybe eight places the clients are shopping around in, don’t have to invest design time into a project they only have a 1 in 8 chance of securing . So they can give the client a good price to reflect this. It means the clients don’t have 8 survey visits, 8 drawing reveals and 8 lots of sales talk to sit through... so saves them time too. So if you are a client or a retailer who does want to see CAD images before you buy - but who doesn’t want to spend more time than actually needed on projects - give us a call ! We can more than likely help !!

I've just pulled the trigger on Howdens Allendale shaker style, 15 units in total, laminate worktop, 5 appliances (inc integrated washing machine and integrated fridge freezer), standard swan neck tap, composite 1.5 sink, door/drawer handles, upstand, undercabinet lighting.. delivered.. final price of £6150.. own tradesman fitting everything, inc electrics, his final bill is £1300.. so £7450 total. Like for like, SUPPLY ONLY (not install), Magnet's online price estimator returning +9k, no mention of sink/tap and unlikely to include upstand, lighting.. Like for like, SUPPLY ONLY, not including things like upstands, lighting, Wren was well over 8k.. So Howdens was significantly cheaper. I can't find any supplier with a price estimator who can get near Howdens price. To be fair, it was part of their Autumn sale, plus fitters discount.

Hi Everyone, As a follow-up to the above post, I noticed that my current kitchen, at the flat which I'm living in, is in a pretty dire condition. It had an electric hob, the oven is separate and far away. Over the years I've noticed, that the wall adjacent to the hob has a thick layer of oil and it's paint has peeled off. Please see the pics enclosed within. Even the wooden floor close to this hob is black, compared to normal looking floor 2 meters away. There are cabinets just above this hob, whose bottoms are are coated in a thick layer of grease. Despite getting in professional cleaners and scrubbing this area, the grime and grease just returns after a few weeks! How can I possibly avoid this in the new kitchen? As a non-expert I thought of the following 1) Tiles across the wall that would house the hob/gas over 2) Wooden or tile flooring? which one would be better? 3) Avoid storage cabinets in the close vicinity of the hob? 4) Use a powerful extraction fan?
