Hi Sonia, The design you currently have looks like it creates a great amount of space but results in 2 separate living spaces next to each other towards the front of the house. Both of these would have to be walked through to get to the kitchen or dining space. My recommendation is to switch the living and kitchen spaces around. As per your notes, I have reduced the length of the extension to 5m, and replaced the shower room with a under stairs W/C. The hallway now opens directly into the kitchen, with a breakfast bar and walkway on one side so that the living and dining area can be accessed without going through the kitchen area. A double door is added from the kitchen to the front room so it can be connected or separated as desired. The kitchen and a small utility space partly extend into the extension to allow more space for cupboards (thought this could be reduced if you preferred more living space). Then at the back of the house, a large living and dining space could open out onto the patio with a full width set of bifold doors. Please let me know what you think? Room Planner is excellent. It is (or used to be) free to use until/unless you want to save your design. You can get round this by screenshotting it. It’s on most platforms. I used it for my bathroom in my old house, my current kitchen, and my parents’ kitchen. Also using it to play with bathroom designs for my present house.
