House renovation - windows help needed

Embarking on major renovation - first dilemma is windows. Limited choices due to need for downstairs patio flood doors (and therefore) limited colour options / Like chartwell Green but worried if 'too much' on all windows (would balance with dark grey door or similar

Chartwell Green is lovely but I think it looks better on an old cottage maybe. Is your house 1930s? I personally would stay with classic white, then choose any colour you like for the front door.

I agree with Sonia. Are you able to paint the pebbledash?

Start at the furthest point and work backwards - that way you don't damage things that have been done, taking other bits through, if you see what I mean !

If anyone happens to read this thread, I have actually started to repaint the Mole's Breath with Downpipe, which I much prefer. The Moles Breath, in certain light, took on a brownish hue which I didn't like. It hasn't weathered that well, but this side of the house is quite exposed to the elements so we knew we would need to re do on a regular basis. Downpipe is more of a definite grey I think. Still unsure of what to do with the windows, if any designers out there would like to suggest a frame colour that would go well with F & B Downpipe? Husband painted one of the frames early summer with Zinsser primer and two topcoats, just white for now, and so far it is weathering well. We also need to change the exterior lights if anyone has any good suggestions? The door will be replaced too. Just haven't got around to it yet! I'm comfortable with interior design but the exterior is bugging me and our budget is limited for now.

Hi, thanks for your response. In answer to your question, I am not a tradesman but am quite handy when it comes to DIY. I am happy to do all the finishing work, decorating, boarding out etc if required. I can install the bathroom suite and kitchen units. I have done plumbing previously. Thank you both @rinked @minnie101 for your comments and feedback. I think flipping the kitchen to the other side of the rear extension looks like it could work, but I think we'll lose some essential kitchen storage space. I like the way you've increased the depth of the utility space, it makes the area look a lot more fuller. If we were to go back to the drawing board and start completely from scratch, how differently would you lay out the spaces??

The slates look to be a blue green colour so a front door that echos that might be nice. You could talk to your neighbour about painting the pebbledash....

I agree about sticking to the white window frames, especially with the green & grey. Could be way too much going on if not careful. I like the windows in Sonia’s picture, they suit the era of the house and the equal sightlines are pleasing to the eye.

There’s a row of cottages on my road that have pebbledash on the upper half. When we moved here none of them had painted it but then someone took the lead when renovating years ago and then every single one gradually followed suit.
