New bedroom where kitchen is. Kitchen moved up above where it is now, leaving the big reception area at top for dining/living which can be flexible depending on how you like to live.

Thank you. We were thinking about that but then there is no natural light in the kitchen (where we spend a lot of time). Also the spiral staircase is to the terrasse so not taking so much space, we were also thinking maybe moving the kitchen there and moving the bathroom elsewhere?

I woud keep the kitchen open to the dining/living space so the windows and light will be the same as it is now in that corner of the open space. To make the kitchen more functional you might want to close up the opening to that space from the hall, which will affect light into hall.

Moving bathroom is more tricky as you need the toilet waste to have somewhere to go - it all goes to the left side of the building at the moment, so probably easier to leave the bathroom where it is. But if the toilet waste can go to the right side (or pipe through the house structure to the left) then switch the kitchen and bathroom and put up new stud walls to create new bedroom above new bathroom would work - gets that big window on left directly into kitchen area and might be better for taking food straight from kitchen up to terrasse? Just check the sewage situation first!

I feel like my first suggestion creates more public space though.

Cheapest least disruptive option would be to have the bedroom in the top left corner with both windows. You could add an en-suite next to the existing bathroom if budget allowed.
