Hi. There aren't any colours for the kitchen? I might look at farrow and ball dimity or pointing. Re the hall although the silver works with the colours in the tiles I don't find it works as well with the background colour. I quite like the blue idea to bring out the blue/grey and yellow in the tiles but it would be good to see the whole floor so as to see the plain tiles. Other colours that may work (inaccurate way of holding colour chart against screen!!) are LG pale Wedgwood or bone china blue pale or f&b dimpse

if you are looking for a crisp, clean grey, I would stay away from Farrow and Ball, their light greys all tend to have a muddy look, which is fab if you want vintage look. If you are looking for high end paint, little greene colours are definitely more clean and crisp than F&B but a lower price alternative would be Laura Ashley, I used their pale dove grey and it was very fresh and clean (really pale though, not sure if that is what you are looking for). You will probably read some bad things about LA paint but my experience of it was fine, looked like any other paint when it was done! Also, don't pay full price for it, it is always on sale.

I'd suggest having a look at the Greyscales by Little Greene (I think that's what they're called) - these are a series of greys/neutrals that each come in 3 or 4 levels of darkness from very pale to very deep. If you pick one or two you like then you can use the lighter one in rooms that need a pale colour and the darker version where you want more colour and it will all tie in. For example we have Little Greene French Grey Pale in our bedroom and the Mid version in our living room. Paint & Paper Library also do a similar range (neutrals in several depth levels). They are also made by LG I believe. Alternatively, Farrow & Ball offer a free colour advice service, though LG paint is better.

I can depend on the aspect of the room. Also, the tiles will have their own 'colour' so depending on what that is, the paint needs to work with it. If you go to an art shop like Hobbycraft and buy several large sheets of stiff card then paint the samples on very carefully at least two coats, this will be better than splodges on the wall.
