My opinion is that you shouldn’t tie a kitchen apron to orange chairs. One day you might want to change the accent color, but it will be difficult because of the backsplash. Make the tiles on the apron in the color of the facades and also gloss. Something monochromatic but with an interesting layout and perhaps tiles of a non-standard shape/texture. And to support the color of the chairs, you can hang orange art above the sink and/or introduce orange into the accessories.

Yeah I agree - I wasn't thinking that I'd do orange tiles, something complementary so that I could do just that - it's just that for the time being when the kitchen diner is done it'll be orange 'inspired' iykwim.
