I think that sofa shape will not suit your new space very well...but slow down and dream!rome wasn't built in a day!i would work on the kitchen plan...forget about the sofa.the kitchen is permanent...the sofa or location of sofa is not!...Kitchen...function first, then form.If you are not planning on this being your forever home...then don't spent money on moving the boiler, or plumbing or electrics as much as possible (unless there are huge gains to be had in terms of function).Also I think you'll be surprised how much more room there actually is once that wall comes down.I vote to keep the breakfast bar as I think it will really define the space.

I like No2 simply because the end nozzle looks as though it has fewer grooves and other kitchen yuck catching spots - lol, that's just me. Quality-wise, have you copied and pasted the item names into a search engine, added the word 'reviews' and hit enter? I do that a lot on things I find on Amazon, and I've seen a lot of those things skyrocket in price only because as 5* rave reviews increase the seller (including items sold by Amazon) bumps the price up accordingly. Running a 'Net search brings back interesting results (verifying or negating the rave Amazon reviews) and I've seen good comparison sites - sometimes the price is so good I then do a search on reviews of the better priced non-Amazon seller. Surprise, surprise, some of those better priced sellers have very bad reviews for items arriving broken and Customer Service less than helpful. Agree with the others that when it comes to taps it pays to pay to avoid being hit with another purchase far sooner than expected, but I have to say I found a hand wash basin on Amazon for two thirds of RRP, no reviews - we took a chance and that basin is gorgeous. Came with everything needed, installed like a dream. The gamble worked out splendidly for us. And the day after I reviewed it, the seller bumped the price £15, lol! Still a bargain, people are buying it (and giving it rave reviews like mine) even though every time a new rave review is posted the price bumps up another £10-£15.

I used to work for Aga/Rangemaster and their build quality is very good. You could try their customer service team on 0800 8046261 or 0370 7895107 and they will tell you which is lowest noise generating. In addition, I would recommend that you not only check the decibel levels of the models you are considering from the product specifications, but if you can try and listen to other people's hoods and compare to see if you think you can tolerate them in your space. A difficult process, especially as most kitchen showrooms don't have working models just show pieces. Best of luck.

Thanks for the reply OnePlan. I have a north facing kitchen which is why I chose the white gloss, if I go with a black hood will it retract from the goal I am trying to achieve? I need to bring as much light and reflection as possible into the kitchen. Thanks again.
