Front Door replacement suggestions please?
Comments (4)Thank you for your question. From your criteria, I would suggest a door like this It lets the light in yet is translucent in order to maintain your privacy. Hopefully some of our community will be able to offer more advice. Good luck with your renovation!...See MoreNeed help with redesigning the front of this 1950's house
Comments (3)I would personally re-think trying to square it off with cladding and render. Not only is it an expensive option, but as a semi detached property changing the fundamental structure will always look odd when compared to the neighbours. It may actually devalue the property too. If you like the more modern style then I would focus on replacing the window frames as you suggest - if its all kept in one style this will also help. Then build a sloped roof porch to break up the profile of the front and replace the door with one that has full height windows either side to end up with a width the same as the window above - again this will re-enforce the symmetry, and linear balance that works well with contemporary styles....See MoreFront door colour suggestions.
Comments (25)Grey is my favourite colour right now, however I thin your door need a bit more depth to it. A deep burgundy or blue would make it stand out. I would suggest hanging baskets either side of the door complimenting the door colour too. Leave the door frames white though to match the windows. Good luck with your choice, I'm sure you'll pick a fantastic colour and love it!...See MoreFront door suggestions
Comments (0)We are moving the main floor to our house to the front from the side. The window on the right will be replaced by a door and the space will be 1100mm wide. We are looking to introduce as much light as possible into the hallway. Firstly, we can't decide whether this space is too narrow for a side window and we would be better going for a wider door. We quite like a classic style and plan on putting a canopy porch over but any suggestions for design/style etc. would be really helpful please? I've attached a picture for info (we will be turning the front garden into a driveway and removing the water buts and driveway canopy)....See More- last year
