I'd really appreciate some help with a kitchen we've had designed. I've attached the mock ups, but essentially what we need to add in (but can't work out how) is:
1. An external side door where the current fridge and freezer are (to the right of the cooker). This means we need to put the fridge and freezer somewhere else, but I can't think where they could go.
2. Have the boiler cupboard away from the window, perhaps next to the pillar to the left of the cooker - would this look OK?
3. How to add a new larder cupboard for mop/hoover storage.
One thing which isn't on the designs is wall units for the left side of the kitchen (along the wall opposite the washer / dryer.
The side window isn't really necessary and can go if needed.
Finally - is the cooker in the best place?

Could you post a floor plan of the downstairs? It looks a long distance between the sink and the cooker. But the cooker needs to stay near the main opening so there’s easy escape in the event of fire. I think I’d move the sink nearer that end. With the floor plan more ideas might become easier to see. Where will the new door lead?

Just looking quickly, here’s what I think: Definitely a no for the microwave position. It’s too high and a hazard for lifting out hot bowls with such things as soup. Why aren’t you having the oven in a tall unit the same as you currently have? Have a single oven and an integrated microwave over it. Is the corner unit a 900 x 900L? If those are straight corner bases you‘ll need to drop on your knees to access the corner which is a nightmare whereas a 900L gives you the opportunity to open each door individually or together allowing full access to the corner. A 3 drawer pack is better than a 4 IMO as you get 2 deep pan drawers which are better for saucepans (but I’d place the oven there). Also a 800 mm drawer pack is a fabulous size with superb storage if you can swap something around to accommodate this size. Over the other side I would have 2 tall units. One for the integrated fridge/freezer and then a larder unit alongside it doing away with the base unit. Looking at the image you have space to put them on the same wall as the door.

Thanks Angie. I've attached the floorplan below. The bit in red at the end is an outhouse which the previous owners knocked through to, but it being knocked down.

The walls between the morning room / kitchen / dining room have all been taken out as you can see from the kitchen design images

Thanks Rinked, :) you do some great work yourself.

I overlayed my design over existing plasn provided, and took the staircase as 900-1000 wide.

But yeah it's tricky without any dimentions.

So Of course it's not exact, but based on limited info provided this is what I could do.

I do think it;s wider than 210/2015. as that would leave a very narrow space, so not ideal

Just in case the kitchen is narrower than 220cm and thus won't allow a 100cm gap, use shallow units on one side, regular depth units along the exterior wall. Tall units and either a door or window at the rear end.

And even though i do like the side window, i'd still consider flipping the tall units and side door, as the hallway door has to be closed before you can walk towards the utility. Imagine doing that with a full hamper, if that's ok for you, go ahead and install your door. Or perhaps have the hallway door swing into the hallway, as toilet doors are closed most of the time anyway.

Wall units are commonly used as floor units because they are only 300mm deep and only need the addition of legs.
