Comments (11)Hi Claire, what is the floor construction on the floor is it joists? there are different options and I have many years experience of dealing with these types of projects. If you are not sure then take up a section and check whats underneath the floorboards. I haven't checked on the plan yet with regard to sqm of area, however I would be wary of electric underfloor heating as the running costs are extremely high unless you have solar panels. As for your proposed plan you would be compromising the large master bedroom at the front, which would make it less attractive I would have thought. If you want to add value you might be able to convert the loft using the windowless room for the staircase. However, for any work you do undertake, it would be important to ensure you do not spend over the ceiling value for the area unless it is your dream home for life....See More- 23 days ago
