Yes you should have doors.

my mum added a conservatory and then a few years later had her kitchen done and removed the conservatory doors but with buildings reg approval.

Seriously reconsider opening up to a conservatory. The heat/cold fluctuations will impact both areas and make them all bit unusable during cold/heat peaks.

Garden rooms although providing less light than a conservatory are specifically designed to give you more temperature control. I have viewed houses in summer where the conservatory was a hotbox. You wouldn't last more than a few minutes in there. So unpleasant. The reverse would also apply in winter.

My sister had a conservatory added and was told she needed to put doors between it and the living room. She didn’t bother adding doors as she needed the space for her little one to whizz backwards and forwards like little ones do, She said if she ever leaves the house she’ll reinstate the doors. She’s never said it feels cold in there but she had an extra radiator added in the conservatory. She has double doors into the garden. Only pic I have is the one with a few people in the way!

Thank you all for your comments. This is a picture of the room (haven't bought the house yet, thinking about it). The other problem is that there is no other window in this room. Maybe one could be knocked through from the outside wall to the left, but I'm not sure if this will be allowed. It's a weird layout.
