Hi. The room appears quite dark atm so I'd go for a warm neutral on the walls, perhaps try farrow and ball or little Greene. For the wallpaper Maybe a subtle pattern in a metallic to bounce some light or a grasscloth effect paper to add texture. I'd lighten the sofas up with throws and cushions in different textures and patterns. Do you prefer a neutral scheme or colour? Have you considered recovering your seat pads on the chairs to lighten them up and maybe add pattern? It's easy with a staple gun! A vase of faux flowers on the table would look great (I love the hydrangea from Oka!) unless of course you can afford real each week and a plant elsewhere. Agree re pendant light over dining table and lamps to cosy the space. Perhaps a bigger rug for the living area to zone the seating space and one for the reading area. Is it also possible to shorten the curtain pole on the main window? For accessories do look at chrome, glass etc as they will bounce light

Hi, This is a lovely little room, the mirror works really well and the shape gives the space interest. I think this is the paper your looking at: Everyone will advise you differently but this is how I would do it. I would use the paper on the mirror wall only. The mirror would look fabulous against this paper ! Make sure you add a little glass back panel directly behind the sink to protect the paper from splashes. There are two shades of grey in wall paper design, use these as your other wall colours (Use Farrow & Ball) Put the darker grey on the window wall to pull your eye as you enter and the lighter grey on the rear wall opposite the sink to keep the room light. Skirting, door, architraves in eggshell white and ceiling in matt white. As with the grey, use F&B paint for the white, it has a chalky tonal value which will soften the effect. Sincere apologies if you have just put the curtain up, its lovely but a full length curtain picking up the yellows with a perspex pole would transform the room.. Another trick I like to use is to put a white plantation shutter into the window which would be framed by the new curtain. This punches the white onto this wall tying it in with the sanitary ware colours. A small detail but if you kept the silver framed picture and replaced the mount with a yellow to match the paper this would look beautiful off a grey wall. Those are my thoughts, hope this helps. Hi, This is a beautiful wallpaper choice! Answering your question I wouldn't advice to go with any colour shade from the wallpaper - either grey or green or even gold for the rest of the walls - simply because it will be too obvious. You have beautiful sofa - as I can see from the photos this colour is close to rustic red with an orange hue. You simply need something which will blend together heavy sofa, curtains and elegant wallpaper. I wouldn't also use the colour similar to the colour of your sofa as it will look too heavy. It has to be something, which is light in weight and is connecting elegantly with your wallpaper choice and connect to sofa at the same time. If you leave sofa not connected to the colour of the wall it will look as you left a separate piece of furniture in the room. With the colour choice I sent you as an example your room will look stylish and warm at the same time. You can then add a warm grey wool blanket (hand crafted ideally) and mixed cushions matched to the colour of curtains, also a bit of grey too.
