Help with narrow bathroom layout please!

The bathroom is long but narrow - i'd like to put a bath in at the far end but measurement there is actually 1500 as a strucutural piece in the way that isn't marked at the back (the bottom of a victorian curve on the wall!). It has been suggested putting the shower like this but I like with a narrow room it will look cut off? Should I go for shower next to bath so tap fittings along the same wall as the toilet and sink - which do need to be the other way round to this layout btw .. or do I just need to do the old school shower over bath? There will be just a shower in the en suite adjoining ...see plan. Would love some help on this please. Thanks so much

I think it would looks so much nicer to just have a bath with a hair rinsing shower low down. Especially if you have a 'proper' shower next door. We've just finished two ensuites and we're about to do our upstiars bathroom which currently has a bath and shower cubicle squeezed into a very similar shaped room, it looks cramped and fussy.

I would lose the shower and as the room is so long you can afford to build out a really deep false wall for valves and to create a focal point. Hide the toilet behind the door and insert a really nice generous sink unit so the fist thing you see is that and perhaps a feature wall above the bath. This is one of our ensuites.

Think you should have shower beside bath, but tiled floor so a wet room (rather than a shower tray), with just a simple pane of glass to separate shower from sink/toilet. All plumbing fixtures on the same wall as toilet/sink. The shower will disappear visually but will be easier to use than over the shower. The bath will get splashed every time the shower is used though - if you can't handle that, then just do shower over bath. Both option provide room for a more generous sink unit - or you could actually shorten the ensuite and make it a bit more spacious in the entry space outside of the ensuite.

Hi there, It looks like it will work like that although the bath is obviously under a very low part of the ceiling. Ideally you need to see an elevation of the end wall to determine exactly how high the ceiling is at the point you step out of the bath. You don't want it so low you hit your head on it ever time you get out of the bath! I would also consider using a 1700 mm long bath along that end wall and running the soil pipe out along the near wall so your WC is on the immediate left of the door as you walk in. This might give you both the WC and the head end of the bath under the tall part of the room.

Morning! Thanks @ MATM I think both bath and shower are definitely too cramped. Would the quadrant shower work better in that corner though than a square one? And will give enough space to walk in and around? Otherwise we have a 1200 long shower we can re-use so was thinking of putting that on the left wall with maybe the wc at the end or just storage space and having the wc on the right and sink on the back wall. I'm also working on an alternative room plan to try and make the room bigger so will come back and post the sizes of it works (just waiting on confirmation from a specialist today!)
